FAQ

Why should I buy a monument from Brewer Monument instead of a funeral home, cemetery, or a website?

Brewer Monument has been serving our local community since 1894. Our quality foundation work and installation technique sets us apart from the competition, guaranteeing you a memorial that will stand the test of time. We have a friendly and knowledgeable staff with many years of experience. We also stay up to date on the rules and regulations of our surrounding cemeteries to best serve you.

How long does it normally take to build and deliver my memorial?

Typically, monuments are designed, engraved and installed in the cemetery within 90 days from the time of purchase. If the monument is not in stock with our vendors in the U.S., it can take 90-120 days to be delivered. In addition, some cemeteries have restrictions on how long you must wait to install a memorial after the burial.

Do I pay for my memorial before or after it has been placed in the cemetery?

We require half of the total amount down to get the memorial started, the other half is due after we install the memorial.

Do I need to purchase a memorial if I have chosen cremation?

Along with traditional memorials, we have a selection of cremation memorials available for interring cremation ashes.  If you plan to have your ashes buried, we recommend choosing a monument to mark your final resting place.

Can we have the memorial we ordered engraved with a personalized design?

Of course! We want the memorial you picked out to represent the loved one it is being ordered for.

What is the right type of memorial for my plot?

Some cemeteries have restrictions on what type of monument or how big the monument can be in that particular cemetery. If your cemetery does not have restrictions, there are different styles of monuments you can pick from to best fit your preference.

How can we be sure we will like the design that we pick out?

We design a layout and present that to you for your approval. At that time, changes can be made if needed. The design must be approved by you before we proceed with engraving the stone.

Who delivers and installs the monuments?

We have a trained installation crew who will deliver and install your memorial.  However, in some cases, certain cemeteries install the monuments themselves. If that is the case, our crew will deliver the monument to the cemetery for installation.

How long should I wait to purchase a monument after the funeral?

With all the decisions at the funeral home, you might feel a little overwhelmed.  We suggest waiting until you are ready to come in and talk with our staff about a loved one’s memorial. We want you to be completely pleased with the memorial you pick out.
